A lot of times I talk about what I want to do for others. This verses hit me pretty hard this morning. And yet at the same time it gave me both confidence and a deeper desire to live for my Great God.
“Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is great than our hearts, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:18-19
To love with actions and truth. It’s not just with vain words spoken from our mouth. Nor is it just actions. It is with actions and truth that we love. As we love like this we can set our hearts at rest, even when our hearts scream your not good enough. God’s love is transforming us and as we respond to God’s love in us we can rest in Him.
