Last night was a beautiful picture. Our house was full and breakfast was being made to order. Kids everywhere. Adults getting to know one another. The door kept opening.
First time guest were among us and were treated like they belonged. A family made us aware of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance day and how that impacts their family. We shared in a time of prayer for this family and all other who sense the significance of this day more then others.
We then listened to a story from the scriptures. Genesis 2:4-35. We retold the story in our own words and had the kids act it out. It was BEAUTIFUL. Our discussion looked like this:
1. What do you like about this story?
2. What don’t you like?
3. If this story is true what do we learn about God?
4. If this story is true what do we learn about man?
5. If this story is true is there anything you would do differently in your life?
The discussion was great. I was leading the discussion and had to give some extra attention to one of my kids and someone else stepped up without being asked a lead in my absence. Once again BEAUTIFUL.
This night reminded me that we have many gifts in a room full of people. We all bring something to the table and our responsibility in this newly forming IC is to help one another develop. I cant wait to see what this group look likes 3 months from now. I cant wait to see who is doing what and what we will be doing together.
It is simply beautiful.
