I have really been thinking a lot about missions and outreach the past couple of months. Working with a 9th grade football team in my community really opened up my eyes again to the desperate situation our world is in.
This morning as I was reading in 1 Thessalonians and God reminded me that the fruit of the gospel is often the result of investing your life into others. Check this verse out. 1 Thessalonians 2 8
We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.
The questions that must be asked is do I really love those who I am sharing the Gospel with? If I do then I should also be willing to share my life with them!!! God, open up my heart to love as you love, to care as you care. God bring me to the point that I am willing to share and sacrifice my life for others not just for the sake of the Gospel.
