Still remembering Christmas

This morning I woke to go through fixed our prayer (see other post) and as I was reading through the prayers my heart was pricked.  I was immediately thrown in to the story of Christmas as I am thinking about somethin I never thought about before.

The Word of God teaches that King Herod wanted to kill baby Jesus and when he could not find Him he ordered all the baby boys 2 years old an younger to be killed.  That’s my son Jake.  Why God would you allow all the babies in an entire region to be killed?

The heart ache that so many mothers and fathers most have felt.  The triumph and freedom given as baby Jesus survived this regional catestrophy to live and die on a cross so that all men might be saved.  Glory to God.

This morning as I prayed I was challenged to think about the children who died, the families who suffered all for the sake of Christ.   Written December 28th.
