The past few days I have started to try and understand the new job that I will be taking on in the construction industry. My dad said
You will need to think past the hourly to the more complex coordination of how one company starts the process by digging a hole…everything in between…….and eventually another company finishes the job.
So this morning I am God for wisdom and understanding and I feel lead to read Job 38 as a result of what I read in Genesis 1. God says to Job in the midst of all of Jobs questions and emotions…
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me if you know so much. Do you know how its dimensions were determined and who did the surveying? What supports it’s foundations, and who laid it’s cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy!
What an amazing thought! God is shedding light on the first ever construction project. The details of construction matter to God!
Now I know, I should have known this. I mean just looking at scripture shows that God knows how to build and that He cares about the details. Noah’s ark, the ark of the covenant, tabernacle, temple…all had very detailed instructions. I know this, but I didn’t connect it to my heart. God cares about the details of building. I am entering Kingdom work!
One last thing. I believe God is inviting me to step out into the darkness, of our world, and proclaim His light. I don’t know what this looks like yet. But I know the One who knows the “path to the origin of Light”. I believe that as I spend time with God, throughout my day, He will show me how to be light, as I take part in building His kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven!
Thankful that I know the master builder as I begin this new journey!
