This past week I have been hit with a very simple reality that I often forget. The power of knowing someones name. One of my coworkers is really good at this. It seems that no matter what McDonald’s we walk into, to do upkeep or maintance, he some how knows several people’s names.
He often greets them with a smile and some how finds a way to make them laugh. If the person has mechanical ability often he shares with them a trick of the trade or answers a question. Or concern that they have.
There is power in knowing someone’s name. So take the time and get to know someone’s name. It is one way that we can show people that they matter!
